Morning Watchlist 03.14.13
Posted on March 14, 2013 at 8:36 am
Indications this morning are for about a +32pt gap in the Dow, and with things so extended to the upside, it’s hard not to worry that traders might be looking for an early fade. That said, we rarely chase anything early, and will be watching for short-term trading opportunities as the morning develops. Who knows what the day will bring, but here are some names were eyeing across multiple timeframes.
As an aside, I’m using the more standard stockcharts.com charts in this post. Which do you prefer? Let me know in the comments, or tweet to @SharkInvesting.
Astex Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:ASTX)

Oracle Corp (NASDAQ:ORCL)

Pros Holdings (NYSE:PRO)

RPX Corp (NASDAQ:RPXC)

Splunk Inc (NASDAQ:SPLK)
Tractor Supply Co. (NASDAQ:TSCO)

Thanks for the charts
Chart preference: I greatly appreciate you posting them so I would say whichever is easiest for you (stockcharts vs. TC?). Maybe also dependent upon which is better at conveying what you are seeing. If candlesticks show something that is not as evident in a hi/lo then maybe TC. It’s the annotations that I think are the most helpful, not necessarily the form. Readers can use their own charting program (I pull your tickers up on MarketSmith) if they prefer vs. your charts. Thanks again for blog.
Thanks for the input, Chris. TCnet is definitely easier and faster, but I’ve never been a fan of their indicators. I’ll stick w/ StockCharts when I need to point out a divergence or overbought/oversold conditions, but will use TCnet for individual chart set-ups. StockCharts seems to be the standard for this type of blog post, so I thought I’d solicit some feedback. Thanks again!
